The remains of Wm. Barber, a former resident of this place, but who with his wife went to live with his daughters, Mrs. Frank Dailey at Atlanta, and Mrs. Joseph Wetmore of Prattsburgh, were brought to this place Friday for internment in the old cemetery at the Christian Church by the side of his parents.
Mr. Barber had been in poor health for several years. One week previous to his death he suffered a stroke of paralysis and gradually failed until his death, which occured on Wednesday, July 11, 1906, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Joseph Wetmore , at Prattsburgh.
He was a good neighbor and highly respected and will be missed by a large ciircle of friends, who have known him from chiildhood. He was about eighty years of age.
He leaves a wife, one son and three daughters besides other realitives and friends to mourn his demise.

Barber, William R.- Age, 26 years. Enlisted, August 26, 1862, at Springwater, New York, to serve three years; mustered in as private, Co. B, 136th New York Inf., September 25, 1862; mustered out with company, June 13, 1865, near Washington, D.C.
