JAMES LOUIS CARR JR., Passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2007 in El Paso, Texas. He was born in Globe, Arizona on May 20, 1920. The Carr family moved to El Paso County in the 1920's. He was a graduate of Ysleta High School. He attended New Mexico A&M in Las Cruces, NM majoring in aeronautical engineering. He went to work at Biggs Air Field as an aircraft mechanic and later was inducted into the Army Air Corps during WWII working as an aircraft inspector. He received medals for his efforts during the cause. He is survived by his wife Joann Philis Carr. His former wife and mother of his children, Mary Jane McArthur Carr and his son James Louis Carr, III, preceded him in death. His daughters, Jane Ann Carr of Las Vegas, NV and Mary Jo Carr Timmons also of Las Vegas, NV, survive him. Sister Louise Hilley of El Paso, TX Grandchildren include grandson William David Meek of Albuquerque, NM and great-grandchildren Geoffrey Davis and Mariah Jayne Meek, granddaughter Georgianne Meek of Las Vegas, NV and great-grandson Zachariah James Meek, grandson John Robert Meek of Houston, Texas, granddaughter Marita Jo Timmons of Las Vegas, NV and granddaughter Jessie Elizabeth Carr. Numerous nephews, nieces, and friends are left behind to mourn the loss of his love. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2007 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home East on 1460 George Dieter Dr. El Paso, Texas Graveside services will be held on Tuesday , September 4,2007 at 11 a.m. at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Blvd., El Paso, Texas.
