Chester (Chet) Ray was the youngest son of Thomas and Emma Fletcher Williams. Born on the family farm on Hillside. Chester had an older brother John Thomas 1896-1930 and an older sister who died at birth 1895.
On July 2 1919 Chester married Naomi Uretta Arthur 1899-1978 from Pueblo Colorado. The young couple moved into town of Forest Grove and there they raised their three young children, Ray, Joe and Patsy
Chester and Naomi later moved down to place called Spray Oregon. There Chet ran a gas station and garage for number of years. In the early 50's Chet and Naomi moved back up to Gales Creek to a place called Trolley Park. This is where the city of Portland would bring out their old trolleys. Here they owned and operated a store on Willson River Hwy until Chet's health forced them to move to Cornelius. There they lived until Chet passed away on Nov 16 1977.
