Sometime after the 1880 United States Census, the Riggs family moved from Springhill, Pennsylvania to Wheeling, West Virginia where Bertha met Charles W. Draher who was a boarder in their home in 1900. They were united in marriage by a Minister of the Gospel in Wheeling, West Virginia on the 23rd of January 1902. Bertha gave birth to two sons, Chester Henry (1904) & Lester Lewis (1907) & the United States Census for 1910 indicates the family, including Bertha's mother, Anna Riggs, is living in Richland, Ohio County, West Virginia where Charlie is a motorman on the street car line. In the US Census for 1930 we find the widow Bertha working as a chambermaid in a hotel supporting her son Lester Lewis who has no occupation listed & remains single. In 1932, Chester & Marguerite become the proud parents of Bertha's granddaughter, Mary Lou & live in nearby Triadelphia, West Virginia.
