Herbert “Herb” Wade Blalock, age 88, of Sevierville, TN passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2020. He was a loving family man of strong Christian faith. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. He served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher for many years. Herb worked for Charles Blalock and Sons for 65 years, and he never officially retired. He was an avid hunter, vegetable gardener, and bird watcher. You could always find Herb sitting on his front porch.

He is survived by his daughters, Linda Peel (Dick), Sherry Noland (Craig), Maxine Hamby, Jewel Myers (David), and Sandy Shults (Alvin); sons, Jimmy Blalock and Gary Blalock; grandchildren, Missy Williams, Debra Burkett (Adam), Nicki Noland (Andrew), Scottie McClure (Julie), Matthew Pratt (Marina), Elizabeth Pratt, Sage Blalock (Jamie), Summer Saylor (Trey), and Tucker Shults; great-grandchildren, Levi, Mazi, Anna, Evan, Cecelie, Kayden, Bentley, Bryn, Ian, Mac, Cullen, and Sadie; sister, Faye Dunn (Oscar); daughter-in-law, Helen Blalock; special friends, Coy Parton and Ray Ball; Justin McClelland, his favorite storyteller; and many other extended family and friends.
