Bruce Garver, who created and manages this Memorial, is the grandson of Emma (Lotz) Morton (1877-1962) who is a first cousin to William Martin Schieke (1884-1950), husband of Clara C. (Kahlert) Schieke (1888-1976).

Clara C. Kahlert (Schieke) was born in 1888 at Hamilton, Butler County, Ohio, to Albert Kahlert (1846-1930) and Matilda (Mathilda) Kahlert (1844-1915), immigrants from the Kingdom of Bavaria, who had come in 1886 to Hamilton from Bavaria with their two young sons, John K. Kahlert (1878-1962) and Paul Kahlert (1882-1913). Daughter Clara C. Kahlert was born about 1889 at Hamilton, Ohio, where she wed William M. Schieke, son of Prussian German immigrants Julius Schieke (1845-1932) and Anna Marie (Lotz) Schieke (1847-1928), a great-great aunt of Bruce Garver who created and manages Clara C. (Kahlert) Schieke's Find a Grave Memorial. The Kahlert family was traditionally Catholic, but Clara wed outside of this faith. Her husband, William Martin Schieke, is believed to have been a member of Hamilton's German Methodist Church.

According to the records of the Greenwood Cemetery Association, Clara C. (Kahlert) Schiecke died at eighty-seven on September 9, 1976, at the age of eighty-seven in Hamilton, Ohio, and was interred there two days later on September 11, 1976, at Greenwood Cemetery in Section V, Lot 56, Grave 01, next to her husband William Martin Schieke (1884-1950) in Section V, Lot 56, Grave 02. Clara's parents and her -- brothers John K. Kahlert (1878-1962) and Paul Kahlert (1882-1913) -are interred at St. Stephen's Cemetery in Hamilton, Ohio.
