Carol Tilley Bare, 76, of Rockwell passed away July 13, 2020.

Born December 23, 1943 in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Sadie Powell Tilley.

During her working years, Carol worked at Cannon Mills and later owned and operated Carol’s Game Room.

Carol is survived by two sons, William Alexander of Rockwell and Steve Alexander and wife Sue of Salisbury; a daughter Jennifer Smith of Kannapolis; five grandchildren, Virginia Harris and husband Mike of Jacksonville, NC, Boyd Alexander and wife Tina of Salisbury, Mike Alexander of Ashboro, Christi Gasca and husband Smokey of Kannapolis and Casey Mowery of Mt. Ulla.

Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Boyd Alexander; a daughter Kelly Jean Alexander; a grandson, Shane Alexander; and a sister, Jean Grimes.

A funeral to celebrate Carol’s life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday July 18, 2020 at Whitley’s Funeral Home, 1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd, Kannapolis, NC. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. Pastor Robert Earnhardt will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Friday July 17 at Whitley’s.
