Thomas Burnett passed away July 8, 2020 at the age of 77. He was a 1961 graduate of Moss Point High School and joined the military to proudly serve in the United States Army. He worked over 30 years for International Paper, Moss Point Mill. He also worked for AT&V in Lucedale. He was a member of Barton Baptist Church, a loving father, brother and “Pawpaw Tommy” who will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Lula Kay Burnett; parents, Pete C. and Barbara Lorraine Parkinson Mabry.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Thomas (Vickie) Cox, Tammy (Stephen) Switzer, Penny (Farrell) White; step-children, Greg (Shay) Havard and Keith (Christy) Havard; grandchildren, Cameron Switzer, Katie (Spencer) Green, Casey (Samantha) White, Victoria (Ryan) Cook, Hayden Switzer, Jonathan Cox, Christopher Havard, Christiane Havard, Faith Havard and Ella Havard; great grandchildren, Aaliyah Ryan, Fallon White and Wade White; brother, John Mabry; sisters, Rebecca Mabry, Joann Breland and Susan Dutton; faithful companion, Tinkerbell; special friends, Charlotte Cooley and Doug Hatcher; numerous other relatives and friends.

The Visitation for Thomas Burnett will be Monday, July 13, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will follow at 12:00 PM in the chapel with Bro. James Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Barton Baptist Church cemetery. Pallbearers include Casey White, Cameron Switzer, Hayden Switzer, Spencer Green, Jonathan Cox, and Ryan Cook.
