Funeral services for Mrs. Lena Bell Overstreet King, who died from an accidental gunshot wound Sunday, were held Tuesday manning at ten o'clock at the Winona Funeral Chapel.
Officiating were Rev. Cornell Daughtry of Winona and Rev. Jack Cross of Carthage. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery, Winona Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. King, a native of Montgomery County, was a member of the North Winona Baptist Church. She and her husband had operated King's Grocery in south Winona for many years Mrs. King was a former correspondent of the Winona Times and wrote the "South Winona News" column. She was 60 years old.
She is survived by husband, Walter of Winona; a son, Paul of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Roy Meek and Mrs. Theopal Carter of Winona; four brothers, Clarence Overstreet, Winona, Rev. Clyde Overstreet, Vicksburg; and Norvil and Coleman Overstreet of Itta Bena; ten grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Clayton Malone, Dorris Weeks, R. C. Overstreet, Colon Woods, Buddy Eades, and John Overstreet.
