Bill Elmore dies following heart attack at home

Marion Wilson "Bill" Elmore, Winona electrician, died at his home Sunday, January 15 of a heart attack. A native of Montgomery County, he would have been 57 years old January 25. He was a member of the Winona First Baptist Church.

Services for Mr. Elmore were held Monday, January 16, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, Revs. John W. Green and W. M. Hull officiating. Burial was in Oakwood cemetery, Oliver Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Elmore is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ella Mae Rodgers Elmore of Winona; two daughters, Mrs. Shirley Stribling and Miss Ginger Elmore of Jackson; a brother, Cecil Elmore, Winona; four sisters, Mrs. James Blaylock, Mrs. Earl Pickens, Mrs. Scott Rodgers, and Mrs. Fred Locke, all of Winona; and a grandson, John Hardin Stribling of Jackson.

Pallbearers were Ed Corban, Joe Hardin, E. W. Patridge, Clyde Dotson, Spencer Wasson, and Noel Garrett.

Honorary pallbearers were Barksdale Garner, Robert Varner, Chris George, Rufus Jamison, J. D. Boyd, J. D. Pullen, Curtis Pullen, Robert Hammond, Clyde Dotson Jr., and Lloyd Power.
