Funeral services for Mable Odom Evans, 78, a native of Montgomery County, were held at the Oliver Chapel at 2 p m. Saturday, December 3 with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. The Rev. Noland Houston officiated.
Mrs. Evans died at the Winona Manor on December 1 after a lengthy illness. She was born on February 3, 1905.
She is survived by her husband, Willie Clyde Evans of Winona; one son, J. C. Perry of Baltimore; two stepsons, Earl Evans and Joe Evans of Winona; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Martha Wright of Memphis; and Mrs. Kathy McLaughlin of Winona; one brother, John Odom of Bessemer, Alabama; and two sisters, Mrs. Alma Stovall of Dallas, Texas and Mrs. Juanita Cantrell of Alabama. She is also survived by four grandchildren.
Oliver Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
