Joe Elliott Hoot passed away February 12, 2012. He was born in Willis Texas June 5, 1925. Raised in Conroe, served in the Army Air Force during World War II. Obtained a Masters degree in Education at the University of Houston. Taught Algebra and metal shop at Pasadena High School and later became Supervisor of Vocational Education. Retired after 39 years working for the Pasadena Independent School District. He was a Deacon and member at Queens Road Baptist Church. He enjoyed camping with his family visiting many National Parks throughout the United States. He is predeceased by Nina Hoot, wife of 49 years., parents Arthur and Gatsey Hoot of Conroe, two brothers, two sisters. He is survived by children Sandra Robertson, Joe Hoot Jr., and Patty Batcheler, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Visitation will be at Pasadena Funeral Home Wednesday, February 15, 2012 6 p.m. to 8 p..m. Services will be Thursday 10a.m. and graveside service in Old Waverly Texas at Waverly Cemetery at 1:30p.m.
