Mrs. Belle Little, 74, a native of the State of Washington and an early-day resident of the Kittitas Valley, died at her home in Yakima yesterday after an illness of three weeks, according to word received here.

Mrs. Little had a number of distant relatives and many friends here. She moved to Ellensburg with her family 67 years ago and although she had lived in the lower valley for the past 50 years she was well known in the valley.

She was born in Vancouver, Wash. She was married to Lafe Little, who died in 1927. They moved to Yakima in 1890 and ranched in Naches, Tieton and Cowiche at different times. Little also served as a peace officer for many years.

Mrs. Little's early years were full of pioneer adventure and she told interesting experiences of Indian uprising and other hardships.

Members of the family are three daughters, Mrs. Edna Hagerty of Tieton, Mrs. Ruby Anderson and Miss Lillie Little of Yakima; two sons, Clarence of Naches and Roy of Oakdale, Calif.; six granddaughters and one great grandson. Shaw & Sons has charge of funeral arrangements.
