Born in Florence March 9, 1871, his whole life had been spent in that town and Camden. His parents were the late John and Jane Kirkwood Parry. April 10, 1901, Mr. Parry married Miss Julia Nash, formerly of North Bay, and their wedded life has been spent on the farm where he died. Besides the widow one son, John, a brother, Charles Parry of Erie, Pa., and a number of nieces and nephews survive.
Mr. Parry was a member of Philanthropic Lodge, F. & A. M. of this village, Camden Grange and the Methodist church. He was a man of excellent character, clean habits and thrifty disposition. His death is keenly felt by a host of friends in this community and throughout the township.
With Masonic honors the funeral was held at 2 o’clock yesterday afternoon from his late home and burial was made in Forest Park cemetery. The Rev. C. G. Roop, his pastor, officiated.
The services were largely attended and the floral tributes were many and beautiful. There were special pieces from the Masonic order, Grange and church. Roy H. Scranton sang two selections. The bearers were W. H. McDaniels, R. E. Pullman, Earl B. Niles, William H. Garlick, Bert Allen and Harvey Dunton.
