She was born on Dec. 17, 1918, in Peoria to Arthur William and Nellie Young Boostrom. She married William Arthur Culver in Springfield, Ill. He died on March 17, 1973.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Arthur L. Culver on April 23, 2000; and two stepdaughters, Helen Smith and Ruth Kimple.
Surviving are two daughters, Georgia Ann Culver, with whom she made her home and was her caregiver, and Alice (John) Hatton; and son, Thomas J. Culver.
She was employed by the city of Peoria as a payroll supervisor, retiring in July of 1982.
She was a member of First Federated Church for 54 years and prior to returning, she was an officer in many of the women's groups of the church. She was also past president of the Proctor Hospital Women's Board and a current member of the North Peoria Women's Club.
