NAME: She was named after Martha Washington but changed her name to Ella Martha. Her maiden name is found both ways: "RHOADES" & "RHODES."

OBITUARY: The Albion News - November 1944 - MRS. MARTHA E. WHEELER
Mrs. Martha E. Wheeler, wife of Ziba A. Wheeler, passed away at the home of her son, William Wheeler of Cranesville on November 23 after being confined to her bed for a month.
Mrs. Wheeler, who was eighty six years old was the daughter of, Albert and Levina Rhoades. She was united in marriage to Ziba Wheeler and to this union were born nine children, two who preceded her in death in infancy.
Survivors besides her husband are seven children, Mrs. Bertha Butts, North Girard, Marvy Wheeler, Girard, Mrs. Charles Richardson, Cranesville, Mrs. S. E. Hoggarth, Youngstown, N. Y., Mrs. Lott Dearborn, Youngstown, N. Y., William Wheeler of Cranesville and Mrs. W. S. Robison of Albion.
Funeral services were held at the Wemple Funeral home on November 27 at two o'clock with a the Rev. John T. Reed officiating. Interment in the Lundys Lane cemetery.
Pall bearers included Marvin Wheeler, Donald Wheeler, Harry Richardson, William Keith, Steven Rilling and William Leonard.
