Barbara Corter, 63, of Bethel Heights, Ark., passed away Thurs., May 24, 2018 surrounded by her family and friends. She was born to Hollis Franklin Adams and Jimmie Lee (Keeler) Adams on June 6, 1954 in Atoka, Okla.
Barbara married Jimmy "Jim" Corter Jan. 7, 1972 in Springdale, Ark. She retired as an office manager with State Farm and was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle Church in Bethel Heights, Ark. She enjoyed arts and crafts and was very talented at creating silk flower arrangements. Her joy was spending time with her family and grandsons.
Barbara was preceded by her parents and siblings Jerry Adams and Mary Hood. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Jim, children Amy Warren (Joe) and Dennis Corter (Chandra), grandsons Zack and Derek, and granddogs Bo and Bentley, all of Rogers, Ark. Also surviving are sisters Virginia Finch (Paul) and Sharon Wilp, all of Atoka, Okla., sister-in-law Sue Adams of Pea Ridge, Ark., and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tues., May 29, 2018 at 10 am at the Gospel Tabernacle Church, 1003 E. Apple Blossom Ave., Bethel Heights, Ark., and the funeral will follow at noon. Pastor Bobby Main will officiate. Committal will follow at Zion Cemetery in Springdale, Ark.
