RUTLAND MAN IS SUMMONED
FUNERAL SERVICES FOR M, J. PROCTOR TO BE HELD ON THURSDAY MORNING.
Michael J. Proctor, aged 71, son of the late John and Catherine (Highland) Proctor, died at his home in Rutland at 4:30 o'clock Monday afternoon, following an illness of five weeks when he was stricken with apoplexy.
Funeral services will be held at nine o'clock Thursday morning, Dec. 2, 1937, from the Sacred Heart church In Rutland.
The birth of Mr. Proctor occurred in England, April 5, 1866, and nine years later the family came to ;America. His marriage with Catherine O'Halloran occurred in Spring Valley, May 18, 1893, and they became the parents of 11 children, three of whom are deceased. Those left, in addition to the mother, are: Mrs. J.J. Wargo, Eureka, Ill.; Mrs. Henry Breyne, Pittsburgh, Pa.; Viola Bell, Camp Point, Ill., Mrs. William Beard and George and John Proctor, Aurora; Ralph Proctor, North Chicago and Airoella, at home. A brother, Peter Proctor, of La Salle and 15 grandsons are also left.
Mr. Proctor resided in Braidwood, Spring Valley, Toluca and Roanoke, where he worked as a mine boss before going to Rutland 19 years ago. He was a village marshal there for a time.
