They came to Waurika in 1907, where he operated a cotton gin for several years.
They were blessed with one daughter, Lavelle, Mrs. Byron Cordonniere,** and a granddaughter.
**Alma Lavelle Harrell was the second child of Eliza's brother Almer W. Harrell and his first wife Nettie Etter. Nettie was Reece's sister. After Almer and Nettie were divorced, Eliza and Reece took the girl and raised her as their own.
