Richard Andrew Kolar, 89 of Lake Ave., Plymouth, Indiana and formerly of the Argos community passed away on June 14, 2020 at 6:25 p.m. at Autumn Trace Senior Living, Plymouth, Indiana following a very lengthy illness. On October 15, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois he was born to Harry Kolar and Helen (Michaels) Kolar. He had lived the past 60 years in the Argos community.

On September 27, 1958 he married Gladys Joyce (Berger) Kolar at the Isaac Walton in Argos, Indiana and together they shared the past 61 years.

Richard was Maintenance Supervisor at CamCar Textron now Torx in rochester, Indiana. He retired in 1991 after 31 years.

He was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, Rochester, Indiana.

Richard was in the United States Army from June 11, 1951 to May 14, 1953 during the Korean War.

Richard is survived by his wife Joyce Kolar of Plymouth, Indiana.

Daughters -
Cindy Rhoads, of Plymouth, Indiana;
Jackie Mullaney and husband Steve of Argos, Indiana; and Pamela Shippy and husband Brian of Rochester, Indiana.
Son-
Dean Kolar and wife, Lynn of Argos, Indiana.

9 grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren.

Sister-in-Law - Pat Kolar of Argos, Indiana

He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Harry Koolar, Jerry Kolar and Robert Kolar; son - Carl Kolar and a son-in-law, William Rhoads.

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, June 18, 2020 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana with Elder Lennon Harris.

Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, Indiana.
