Ethel Mae Shay was born May 23, 1915,in Delavan to Arch G.and Emma Floyd Runyon. She married Walter M. Shay on Jan. 12, 1945, in Delavan. He died April 23, 1994, in Hopedale.
Three brothers also preceded her in death.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Martha) Atwater and Mrs. Sam (Mary Lou) Campus ; two brothers, Richard Runyon and Ted Runyon; and two grandchildren.
She was a member of Delavan Baptist Church and the Delavan Historical Society,
