Last rites for Jessie Holmes Germany who passed away at his home on September 22nd were held at the Moore Memorial Methodist Church on Monday afternoon, September 24th, with the Rev. W. P. Bailey, assisted by the Rev. M. J. Peden of Lexington officiating. Interment was in Oakwood cemetery under the direction of Oliver Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers were Roy Hemphill, Arthur Henson, Jack Groce, Noel Garrett, Forrest Heath and C. E. Boykin.

Mr. Germany was born in Montgomery County August 3, 1884, and on November 23, 1908, he married the former Miss Mittie Ingram who survives. He was a member of the Duck Hill Methodist Church and Winona Lodge 48 FAM.

In addition to his wife, he leaves two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Trussell, Miami, Florida, and Mrs. Jewel Thomas, Kilmichael; two sons, Harvey L. Germany, Waterford, Miss., and Billy Germany of Batesville; and four grandchildren.
