Funeral services were held on January 4 for Ruth Lee Turnbow, 81, who died on December 31 in a San Antonio hospital.

Services were at 10:00 A.M. in Yeager Chapel with internment in the Quemado Valley Cemetery under the direction of Yeager-Barrera Mortuary.

Mrs. Turnbow was born on March 6, 1917 to Mr. and Mrs. Jim Lee in Mitchell County, Texas and resided in Quemado at the time of her death.

Survivors include three sons, Jimmy Turnbow of Lavernia, Jerry Turnbow of Boerne, and Gary Lee Turnbow of Houston; three brothers, Aldin Lee of Roswell, New Mexico, Raymond Lee of Fairview, Oklahoma and Elvis Lee of Nashville, Arkansas; a sister, Modelle Brookshire of Brownsboro, Texas; four grandchildren, Lance Turnbow, Andrew Turnbow, Chris Turnbow and Tracy Turnbow.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Turnbow, parents, Jim and Myrtle Lee, four sisters, Mary Edna Lee, Helen Irene Lee, Ina Bess Lee Compton, Gertha Lee Davidson, and Lynette Lee Slaughter, and one brother, Olan Edward Lee.

Pallbearers were Buddy Compton, Bobby Slaughter, Chris Turnbow, Kelly Klair, Mike Slaughter and James Smith.
