Prinzessin Marie Luise Charlotte von Hessen-Kassel was the daughter of Wilhelm, Landgraf von Hessen-Kassel, and his wife, Princess Charlotte of Denmark. She was married at Rumpenheim on September 11, 1832 to Prinz Friedrich August von Anhalt-Dessau, by whom she had three daughters.

She was originally interred in the Marienkirche, Dessau. It was destroyed during World War II and her remains were removed and reinterred in the Berenhorst crypt in the Friedhof I, Dessau.
