Born in Tryon, NE, he was a son of the late Raymond and Lottie Beck Gross. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he was a retired truck driver for Winn-Dixie for ten years and Bi-Lo for twenty years. He was a member of Emmanuel Full Gospel Tabernacle.
His family were descendants of the Mayflower.
He was predeceased by a brother, Richard Gross.
Burial at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
