MRS. BERT S. GRAFFIUS
PHILIPSBURG - Mrs. Virginia Lovenia Graffius, 79, of 212 Ninth St., died at 8:24 o'clock last evening in the Philipsburg State General Hospital. She had been in ill health for the past seven years.

A daughter of John C. and Sophia (Viehdorfer) Confer, she was born at Moshannon April 30, 1889. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, the Women's Society of Christian Service, and the church choir. She was a charter member of the Philipsburg State General Hospital Auxiliary and a member of the Women's Club.

She was married to Bert S. Graffius in 1910 and is survived by her husband and four sons: Harold S. and John B., of Philipsburg; Frederick, Howard; and Robert, Niagara Falls, N.Y. Eight grandchildren, a niece and a nephew also survive. She was the last member of her generation.

In lieu of flowers, friends may make a contribution to the National Parkinson Institute at Miami, Fla. There will be no visitation. Private funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Beezer Funeral Home. The Rev. Stratford C. Taylor will officiate.
