He is the son of Michael Sindlinger and Louisa Skaer. He married Mary Isabelle Gray in September 06, 1906 in Tuscarawas Co., Ohio. They had two sons Albert E. and Walter E. Sindlinger. Tuscarawas Co., obits on November 1976 for Charles A. Sindlinger: Funeral Services are scheduled Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Linn-Hurt Geib Funeral Home at New Philadelphia for Charles A. Sindlinger, a former educator in Marion Co., Ohio. Mr. Sindlinger 92, died Saturday night. He had been a victim of a heart ailment. he had been an educator for 60 years. Born November 14, 1883 in Gilmore, Tus., Co., Ohio, he began his education as an 19 year-old in an one-room school at Grange Hill in Tuscarawas County. He was associated with the Gnadenhutten Schools for 16 years, 12 yrs. as superintendent and in 1927, he resigned to complete his education at Ohio University where he graduated with a bachelor and Masters degree with a major in botany.
He then served 11yrs in Marion County as superintendent at Morral and Kirkpatrick. He then taught at New Hill and after World War 11 taught in Geauga County Midville and Tuscarawas counties. He wife, Mary Belle Gray Sindlinger died in 1962. He is survived by 2 sons, Albert of Philadelphia and Walter, a teacher in New City, N.Y.. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was a member of Emmanual Lutheran Church at New Philadelphia and the favorite benevolence of the family is the church building fund.
