Death of B.K. Bigham
Died - B.K. Bigaham age 70 Monday evening at about six o'clock at the home of his sister Mrs. Howard Kennedy with whom he made his home, six miles west of Waurika. Mr. Bigham went to the lot to do the milking, as was his custom, and when he failed to appear by suppertime, the family discovered him lying dead in the cow lot. He was lying on his back with one leg hanging across the milk stool, as he had fallen backwards.
Burial was had in the Waurika Cemetery Wednesday morning. The funeral was preached by Rev. W.A. Cravens of the Presbyterian Church.

He was the son of William McCreary and Elizabeth Ellen (Dunham) Bigham.

On Aug. 10, 1861, he enlisted as a Pvt. under Capt. John C Brown, in the Ellis Grays, W. H. Parsons' Regiment, 4th Texas Cavalry, in Waxahachie, Ellis, Texas. On Oct. 28, 1864, at Camp Herbert, he was discharged from the 4th Texas Cavalry.
