Robert Ellerbee
Robert G. Ellerbee, 54, of 5748 Perry Ave., Columbus, died Wednesday at St. Francis Hospital.
The graveside service will be at 11 am Friday in Parkhill Cemetery, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary's Macon Road Chapel.
Mr. Ellerbee was born Nov. 5, 1925, in Muscogee County, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert James Ellerbee. A veteran of World War II, he retired from the Columbus Police Department in 1976 after 25 years of service. He had lived in Columbus all of his life and was a member of the Baptist Church, the Fraternal Order of Police and the Georgia Peace Officer's Association.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sybil Vickers Ellerbee; and a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Ellerbee Saunders, Columbus.
