Reggie Alford, 54, of Palatka, passed away Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, at his home.

A native of Marin County, S.C. Reggie had lived most of his life in Putnam County. He had worked, for the past 23 years at Rick's Tire Center in Palatka. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and loved to fish.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean McDonald Alford; daughter, Regina May; and a sister, Carol Feaster


He is survived daughter, Rachel Wilkinson and husband, Daniel, of Satsuma; mother, Louise Alford of Palatka; companion, Deborah Chesser; brothers, Rick Alford of Ocala, Timmy Alford of Keystone Heights, Steve Alford of Macclenny, Wayne Alford of Palatka, and David Feaster; sister, Gloria Alford of Interlachen; and grandchildren, Jeremy May and Ryan May.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Hutcheson and the Rev. Glenn Martin officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka.
