St. George, Utah – Andrew Hales Barnum, at the age of 95, passed away on July 2, 2020 in Mesquite, Nevada. Andrew was born on September 14, 1924 in Mesquite, Nevada, to Charles Andrew and Jennie (nee Hughes) Barnum. He was the eighth one born out of nine children. He married Delsy Verna Miles (nee Woodbury)on May 19, 1944 in the St. George Utah Temple. And she passed away on December 22, 1946 in St. George, Utah. Then on August 18, 1955 he married Phyllis Jean Moore in the Salt Lake City Utah Temple. And they had four daughters, Cynde, Lang, LaRae , Jolene, and Annette.

Andrew graduated from Woodward school, Dixie High School, afterward he graduated from Dixie College. He was a World War II Veteran in the continent of Europe. And he was in the US Army for 3 years.

Andrew worked at Dixie Junior College. And at former Dixie State University and he taught counseling, coaching, and in administration in St. George, Utah.

Andrew was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many callings throughout his life but spent the most time serving as Ward Financial Clerk through many bishops.
Graveside service will be held Thursday, July 9, 2020, 11:00 a.m. at St. George City Cemetery.

He is survived by his four daughters and grandchildren.

Andrew was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, spouses, and also some son in-laws.
