Orpheus Gibson Boor was born in Marion county, West Va., July 15, 1852 and departed this life October 14, 1930 after almost an hours sickness. He was 78 yrs old.

He moved to Iowa in the spring of 1884 and has spent the remaining years of his life here. Orpheus Gideon Boor was united in marriage to Adelphia Eleanor Rex at Farmington, W. Va. Aug 15th, 1871, who preceded him in death in May 1908. Their children are William Franklin of Woodburn, Iowa, Lucian Hall of Mannington, W. Va., Harry Ogden of Osceola, Charles Golden who preceded him in death in Nov. 1922, and Newton Rex of LeRoy, Iowa. He was reunited in marriage to Ida May Miller at Tiffin, Ohio, Oct. 12, 1909.

He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and was always ready to bear witness that he was a child of God.

Besides his wife and children, those left to mourn his loss are sixteen grand children, eight great grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted from the M. E. church of LeRoy Oct. 17, by Rev. M. S. Clark, assisted by Rev. Wing of Woodburn at 1:00 P.M. and interment was made in the Woodburn cemetery. The bereaved ones have the sympathy of a host of friends.
