Several times nominated for an Oscar, he won the Academy Special Award (2007) and an Academy Award for Best Original Score (2016) for "The Hateful Eight," as well as Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe, and a Golden Lion. Ennio Morricone died at the age of ninety-one due to complications following a serious fall.
