Obituary from the Eagle Democrat, Warren, Arkansas, dated 13 September 1945 -- Mrs. J.B. Lowe, aged 91, died September 7 at her home near Warren after an illness of several weeks. She was born in Winston County, Mississippi, August 9, 1945 (marker has 1864), and was a member of the Baptist Church. Funeral services were conducted at the Moseley cemetery at 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon by the Rev. J.T. Murry and the Rev. R.A. Rainey. She is survived by her husband; six sons, W.W. Lowe of Warren, N.L. Lowe of Pine Bluff, J.B. Lowe of Washington, D.C., Zebb of Olmulgee, Okla., Earl of Oklahoma City, and Earnest of Stillwater, Okla.; six daughters, Mrs. D.L. Balentine of New Edinburg, Mrs. William Sendinger, Van Mite, Iowa, Mrs. Margie Parnell and Miss Beth (should be Bess) Lowe of Warren, Mrs. A.D. Rose of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. H.H. Parker of Pine Bluff; one sister, Mrs. Callie Smith of Sturgis; and 21 grandchildren. Active pallbearers were Ira Harrelston, Tom Parrott, Carl Martin, Marvin Williams, Orie Plair and Orland Carter. Honorary pallbearers were Walter Moseley, Clyde Neely, Will Hargis, Douglas Baker, Laurence Hurley and K.B. Montgomery.
