Larry was born in Poughkeepsie on November 22, 1948, Larry was the son of the Late Ramon L, and Kathryn Sackett Granger.
Larry was a 1966 graduate of Roy C. Ketcheam High School, Wappingers. After Graduation he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served in Vietnam with Delta Co.
Larry Receved commindations, Presidential Unit citation,
Good Conduct Medal, National Defence Service Medal and other citations.
Larry worked at Fishkill Correctional Facility in the wilding and Maintenece Department.
Larry was Verry active at the Castle Point VA Medical Center and was the treasurer of the Veterans Wheelchair Team. He participated for several years in the Veterans Wheelchair Games (Wheelchair Olympics)
This year Larry is the winner of five gold medals the highest achievement offered.
Larry is survived by one son Mr.Ramon L. Granger of New Windsor, Two sisters Marry Lou Karius , LeGrange Rheinmmuenster, Germany and Peggyann Granger,Manhattan,NY
three nieces Kathryn Yomans, Christy LaSusa,and Georgia
Kester,and one nephew, Bruce LaSusa.
The famly will receive their frends on Wensday, August 29,2007,from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at the Halvey Funeral Home,inc., 24 Willow Street, Beacon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offerdat 11:30 am on Thursday Augest 30 at St.Mary Mother of the Church,100 Jakson Street Fishkill.
Internment will follow in the Veterans Section of St.Joachim's Cemetery.
