Veteran Railroad Worker Dies Sunday
May 14 death notice

Maurice Moriarty at 59, died at his home 113 South Willard Sunday at 9:00 pm. He was born March 16, 1885 at Dudley and came to Ottumwa as a small child. He was an employee of the car repair department of the Milwaukee Railroad for 32 years.


Besides his wife Mary; he is survived by two sons; John and Donald; and one daughter Catherine all of home; one brother Edward of Ottumwa, and one sister; Mrs. Agnes Glentzer of Pueblo, Colorado.

Funeral services will be held at the home at 9:00 am Monday with the Rev. Donohoe officiating. High mass will be recited at St. Patricks Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
