Linda Faye Smith of Wilmington, NC, died Thursday, July 2, 2020. She was born in Columbus County on March 18, 1949 to the late Wiley Bickett Batten and Gladys Leola Sasser Batten.
She worked as a registered nurse and was a member of Scotts Hill Baptist Church.
Faye is survived by her husband; Jimmy Dale "J.D." Smith of Wilmington, two daughters; Angela "Angie" Denise Kahney of Wilmington and Kimberly "Kim" Glover (Channing) of Lake Waccamaw, one sister; Elizabeth Ehlers of Whiteville, and two grandchildren; Joshua Glover and Benji Kahney.
A graveside service will be held at the Batten Family Cemetery, Whiteville, NC on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at 11:00 am with Rev. Jimmie Suggs, Jr. officiating.
