Jerry Kenneth "Ken" Daniels Jr., 49, of Oak Ridge, died Friday, June 13, 2003, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Born Nov. 20, 1953, in Knoxville, he was the son of Bertha Fox Jenkins and the late Jerry Kenneth Daniels Sr.
He was a graduate of Clinton High School where he received a football scholarship to Austin Peay State University. His family said he was an avid golfer and loved his family dearly.
Mr. Daniels was also preceded in death by his stepfather, James O. Jenkins.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons, Chris Daniels of Oak Ridge and Kevin Daniels of Clinton; a sister, Kim Fraker and husband, Tim, of Oak Ridge; two stepbrothers, Jimmy Jenkins of Knoxville and Scott Jenkins of Oak Ridge; a niece, Amber Fraker of Oak Ridge; and by several extended family members.
The funeral was Sunday, June 15, 2003, in the chapel of Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with the Rev. Steve McDonald officiating. Burial was to be at 11 a.m., Monday, June 16, at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton.
