Branchville - Robert L. Connelly, 72, a retired employee of the Charleston Naval Shipyard and a former mayor of Branchville, died Monday in an Orangeburg hospital. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today in Ott Funeral Home. Burial will be in Dukes Bryant Cemetery near Reevesville. Mr. Connelly was born in Orangeburg County, a son of Robert F. Connelly and Bettie Agnes Dukes Connelly. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Reevesville Baptist Church. Surviving is his wife, Dorothy B. Connelly; a daughter, Vivian C. Ayers of Hampton; two sons, Thomas W. Connelly of Branchville and Donald F. Connelly of Bennettsville; a brother, James T.
