Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at Hudson Township Cemetery, Hudson. Cremation rites have been accorded.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cody Stultz for John's autistic great-grandson, Benjamin Michael Stultz, for help with his education and support services.
John was born January 31, 1940 in Hudson, the son of John (Jack) and Beatrice Prunty Craig.
Surviving are his partner of 20 years, Dianne Nevius; his children, Robyn (Curtis) Christenson and Michael Craig; three grandchildren, Cody (Mary) Stultz, Ashley (Scott) Conover and McKale Craig; four great-grandchildren and his sister, Sarah (Jim) Aeschelman. Also surviving are Dianne's children that John loved like his own, Kara (Anthony) Miller and Nick (Jessica) Huskins and their children, Titus and Jaia Miller and Levi Huskins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three siblings, Bernadine, Roger, Jimmy; as well has his son, Clifford David and a grandson, Jase Johnathan.
John was a member of Union 152 for over 50 years and retired as a painter from Illinois State University. He was an outdoorsmen who also enjoyed riding his Harley and spending time with his friends and family.
He will be greatly missed.
