FLORA ETTA BURKE BURNETT, 79, died Friday, May 23, 1997, at the Drew Memorial
Hospital in Monticello. She was born July 1, 1917, in Drew County to the late
Walter M. Sr., and Georgia Elizabeth Chancellor Burke. She was a housewife and
member of Florence Baptist Church.Survivors include her husband, Harry W. Burnett
of Monticello; one son, Ken Burnett of Little Rock; one daughter, LaVeale "Lee"
Burnett of Monticello;two brothers, Edgar Burke of Monticello and Herbert Burke
of Thornton; one sister, Pearl McMahon of Monticello; and one grandchildren,
Burke Elliott Burnett.Funeral services were held Sunday, May 25 at 2 p.m. in the
Stephenson-DearmanFuneral Chapel by the Revs. Jake Lindsey and Dennis Dodson.
Burial was in Campground Cemetery arranged by Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Bill Rogers, Shorty Beard, Lamar Burke, Tommy Emmerson,Bobby
Lemons and Gerald Wright.
