He was a survivor of the June 1942 Evacuation of the Pribilof Islands and of the Internment at Funter Bay, Alaska, during World War II. John moved from Alaska to Texas, where he met and married Alice in 1968. He enjoyed doing carpentry and working with tool, fishing and taking his family to the beach during their vacations. John trained and worked as a radio/tv technician and was retired from the Internal Revenue Service.
Survived by his wife of 52 years, Alice and their children, John and Stefanie.
