Thomas Edward "Tommy" Fleenor, 74, of Oceana, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Monday June 30, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Tommy was a United States Air Force Veteran and a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
He was born on February 20, 1946 in Kopperston, WV a son of the late Thomas "Tom" Garland Fleenor (1903-1976) and Goldie Eden Spears-Fleenor (1911-1982). In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son, Eddy Lee Fleenor (Deceased); two brothers, Paul Fleenor (Deceased) and Daniel "Danny" G. Fleenor (1944-2004); a sister, Nancy Carol Fleenor-Dixon (1941-2004); his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Shallus Elkins (Deceased) and Martha Ellen Elkins (Deceased); and several uncles and aunts.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 51 years, Barbara Ann Elkins-Fleenor; a son, T. J. Fleenor of Oceana; two sisters, Charlotte Mae Fleenor-Maynor (B. 1938) of Oceana and Jean Ann Fleenor-Castle & husband Roy Castle of Castlewood, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, July 5, 2020 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Ron Lee officiating. He will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV.
