Services for Mary Ann Mann will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church; a rosary will be recited before the service.
She was born to Joseph Decallion Kohler and Ora Dell Coleman Kohler.
She began her education at St. Mary's Academy and went on to graduate from Palestine HighSchool in 1957.
She taught school for over 31 years at Palestine High School; she also taught at Buffalo ISD, Grand Forks, North Dakota, New Braunfels ISD and Maron ISD. She was a lifetime member of Texas State Teachers Association and the National Education Association.
She touched so many lives and left each and every one a little brighter with every interaction. Classy, Sweet, Precious, Selfless, A Dear Friend, Generous and A Loving Caring Spirit are just a few phrases her friends used to describe her. She could not go into town without running into a least a few friends or past students/parents.
She loved working with her students and all if the friends she made during her many years at Palestine High. She also enjoyed playing the organ for Sunday Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and her time working with the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Ladies Auxiliary and the music ministry.
It was her highest priority for everyone to be rembered and celebrated- birthdays, new babies, wedding, special events.
She was predeceased by her parents.
She is survived by her three children; Rebecca "Becky" Burns (Scott and their 5 children, Davin & Ethan Smith, Hayden, Abbey and Blake Burn of Georgetown, Texas. Patrick Mann (Lori) and their f daughters, Elizabeth Mann, Emma and Leah Matthews of Georgetown; and Debroah "Missy" Ashley (Dave Throckmorton ) and daughters, Ella & Taylor.
