The 1880 Nevada Co., AR census has her name as Artemes but later records refer to her as Artie. Kathy Wray, a Clawson researcher, noted that her name may have been Artemes Ann. It's possible that Artie was born in AR but later census records give her birthplace as TX (perhaps Hopkins Co.) She married first to B. E. Bottom 4 Mar 1891 in Johnson Co., TX and second to Louis F. Ackerman 29 Sep 1902 in Johnson Co., TX. She had no known and surviving children of her own.
