He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. Billy’s favorite hobbies were woodworking and gardening. He had a green thumb and could make anything grow.
Billy is predeceased by his loving wife of 36 years, Betty, son, Ricky Hurst and his parents.
“Pop Bill”, as known by his loving survivors, include his daughter, Susan Trott (John Nelson), of Monticello; daughter, Debbie Collier Simmons (Mark), of Hot Springs; sister, Nancy K. Minton (Glen), of Story; aunt, Jolene Maupin, of Dardanelle; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home followed by a celebration of Billy’s life at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
