Billy G. Cline, 73, of Hot Springs, passed away June 29, 2020. He was born January 12, 1947 to Frank and Inez (Halsell) Cline. Billy was a decorated Army Veteran having served in Vietnam. He was awarded the Purple Heart Medal. Billy was an excellent marksman and sharpshooter.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. Billy’s favorite hobbies were woodworking and gardening. He had a green thumb and could make anything grow.
Billy is predeceased by his loving wife of 36 years, Betty, son, Ricky Hurst and his parents.
“Pop Bill”, as known by his loving survivors, include his daughter, Susan Trott (John Nelson), of Monticello; daughter, Debbie Collier Simmons (Mark), of Hot Springs; sister, Nancy K. Minton (Glen), of Story; aunt, Jolene Maupin, of Dardanelle; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home followed by a celebration of Billy’s life at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
