"Mr. Bob" was the youngest of 10 children of Field Monroe and Nancy Caroline Milner Bradshaw. He moved with his family from Harris Co. GA to the Bacon Level AL area in the 1870s and married Emma Vistula Gamble of Heard County GA on Sept 28, 1892. He farmed and operated a country store, postoffice, blacksmith shop, and small mill on 200 acres of land approximately 1 2/3 miles ESE of Bacon Level. He and Emma were the parents of five children including boy and girl twins who died before they could be named. He is buried at Bacon Level with his wife, the twins, and son Gibson.
