John Nelson Rose
June 26, 2020:

John Nelson Rose, 101 years old, of Fulton, Missouri passed away on Friday, June 26, 2020 at Missouri Veterans Home in Mexico, Missouri.

John was born on May 18, 1919, in Reform, Missouri, the son of Zachariah and Amelia (Neher) Rose who preceded him in death. He was married on September 1, 1940 in St. Charles, Missouri to Helen (Minker) Rose who preceded him in death on January 4, 2016.

John was a veteran of the US Army serving during WWII. He was a store manager for Safeway Grocery, retiring in 1981.

Survivors include: one daughter, Kenda Ferrugia (Mike) of Fulton, Missouri; one son, Kevin Rose (Kim) of Fulton, Missouri; five grandchildren, Zachary Rose (Brittney), Matthew Rose (Emily), Angela Quick, Sarah Baker (Kelly) and Steven Ferrugia (Krystal); ten great-grandchildren, Lila Rose, Max Rose, Moses Rose, Hank Rose, Rylan Quick, Kolten Quick, Easton Quick, Addison Baker, Hadlie Baker and Adam Ferrugia; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

John was preceded in death by his parents; wife of seventy-six years, Helen; infant son, John Gary Rose and infant daughter, Karen Kay Rose.

Private memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton with Reverend Bruce Williamson officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Callaway Senior Center, c/o Debo Funeral Home, 833 Court St, Fulton, MO 65251.
