Menetta M. Stordahl, 87, of Northfield, died Saturday, June 27, 2020, at Northfield Care Center.
She was born November 24, 1932, in Wadena, the daughter of Hans and Edria (Porter) Aagard. Menetta graduated from Wadena High School in 1952. She married Jon Stordahl on September 17, 1955, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wadena. They moved to the family farm in Warsaw Township, where they lived for over 60 years. Menetta worked at the Northfield Retirement Center for many years and helped on the farm. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, coloring and doing word searches. She loved her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a long-time member of Vang Lutheran Church.
Menetta is survived by her children, Jonathan (Carol) Stordahl of Red Wing, Jacqueline (Timothy) Meyer of Dennison, Jeffrey Stordahl of Federal Dam and Julene Stordahl of Nerstrand; son-in-law, Charles Foster of Colorado Springs, CO; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister, Charlotte Stemson of Wadena.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jon Stordahl; daughter, Jeannette Foster; brothers, Hans and Leroy Aagard.
A private family graveside service will be held at Vang Cemetery in Holden Township. Memorials are preferred to Vang Cemetery or Evergreen Lodge in Northfield.
