Larry entered his eternal home on June 24, 2020. He joins in Heaven his two children Keri Ann and Larry “Bub”. Larry was born to Charles F and Wanda Beal Gowder on December 27, 1946.

He graduated from Shawnee High School in 1964. Larry has an associate degree in Drafting from Okmulgee Tech (now Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology). He initially took a job in Houston with Brown & Root. Then enlisted in the Oklahoma Army National Guard. Where he served honorably for 31 years. During his tenure with the Guard he served in various positions, retiring as Enlisted Branch Chief. MSG Gowder received many awards and decorations throughout his career including the Meritorious Service Medal.

Larry was proceeded in death by his parent Charles and Wanda Gowder, and both his children Keri Ann and Larry Keith Gowder Jr.

He leaves behind his wife Carolyn of the home. Daughter Liz and son in law Myron Hamm, Grandsons Trey and Hunter Green and Great grandson Bentlee Green. Brother and sister in law Charles and Debbie Gowder of Texas, Mother and father in law Kenneth and Edith Curtis. Special friends Steve Jensen, Richard Harpp and childhood best friend Randy Parsons. And host of other family, friends and especially his Guard family.

Graveside service will be held 9:30 am, Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at Resthaven Memorial Park.
